The 2010 annual fundraising dinner will be held on Friday, September 17th at the Antlers Hilton Hotel in Colorado Springs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  News anchor, Lisa Lyden, with KOAA television station, will be emceeing the event.

This year, our program will focus on the key question, “What Does it Take?”  This question requires each person to take an inventory of their resources and how they might be leveraged to help the disadvantaged youth in our community. We will apply this question to our primary service areas—education, health, recreation, and basic needs.

We are also excited to announce that our keynote speaker will be Scott Owens.  Mr. Owens is the Head Coach of the Colorado College Men’s Hockey Team. As Head Coach, Mr. Owens has compiled an impressive win record since taking control of the team in 1999. Each year, Colorado College is one of the top contenders for the NCAA hockey title. Mr. Owens is also known for his ability to develop leadership skills among the young men he coaches. We are eager to hear his perspectives on helping the youth in El Paso County.
