Robin Coen—Board President
Robin Coen has worked for over twenty years in the social service field. Most recently, Mrs. Coen worked as the Director of Missions and Outreach and Assistant Director of Children’s Ministries for Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Florida. She spent thirteen years in community mental health as a supervisor, case manager, and client advocate. She also worked for three years as a Case Coordinator and Supervisor for the 8th Circuit Court’s Guardian ad Litem Program in Gainesville. Mrs. Coen’s volunteer activities have included service on the Boards of Osceola County Special Olympics, the Osceola Wish Foundation, and the Preserve [a group home for adolescents with mental health and safety needs]. Since moving to Colorado Springs, Mrs. Coen has served on the Foster Children’s Fund Board through CASA. Mrs. Coen and her husband founded Chlidren of Promise is 2005. She is also the proud mother of four beautiful children.

Kelly Muse, BA--Vice President
Kelly Muse is a Colorado native, making her home in Colorado Springs since 1999. Kelly has been a State Farm Agent in Old Colorado City since 2003 and has held various positions with State Farm for the past 20 years. Kelly attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. During her tenure with State Farm, she has teamed with many philanthropic organizations in the community, especially those involved with children and teens. During her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years and her two sons. They enjoy camping and boating, attending sporting events, and entertaining friends.

Daniel R. Henley, MD --Board Member |
Dr. Daniel Henley is a licensed family practice physician with Aspen Creek Medical Associates in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Henley received his undergraduate degree through Fullerton campus of California State University, where he graduated with honors. Subsequently, he obtained his medical diploma from Michigan State University in 1987. Dr. Henley served as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force. More recently, Dr. Henley served as the Clinic Chief and Team Physician at the United States Air Force Academy. Dr. Henley volunteers as the team physician for the Colorado College Hockey Team, Special Olympics, and Coronado High School. Dr. Henley also volunteered for humanitarian medical missions to Peru and Mexico. In his leisure time, Dr. Henley enjoys a number of sports and spends time with his wife of 17 years, his two sons, and one daughter.

Steve Moran M.S. –Board Member
Steve Moran has spent the past 38 years as a high school educator - 15 years as a teacher and coach, 11 years as a high school assistant principal, 9 years as a high school principal and the last 3 years as a semi-retired HR recruiter. After earning a BA in Social Sciences from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Teaching Degree from California State University at Long Beach, he became an educator. Mr. Moran then went on to earn his MS in School Administration from California State University at Fullerton. After graduation, Mr. Moran and went on to be a high school administrator for twenty years in Academy District 20 in Colorado Springs. He states one of his most rewarding experiences was designing, building, and opening Pine Creek High School. Mr. Moran joined Children of Promise in 2008, in hopes of making a positive difference for teenagers in our community.

Nichole Reiff--Volunteer Coordinator
Nichole Rieff has volunteerd with Teens with Promise for over three years. In 2008, Nichole to on the responsibility as Volunteer Coordinator. Nichole is the proud mother of 2 beautiful boys and married to Ryan Reiff, local CPA partner with BKD Accounting firm. |

Dr. Steven P. Coen, Ph.D.--Board Member

Dr. Coen is a licensed clinical psychologist who has specialized in the development and management of mental health programs for children and families. He has spent more than fifteen years providing direct services, clinical supervision, and administrative management of various prevention and intervention programs in a variety of treatment settings. Dr. Coen earned his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Dr. Coen’s volunteer work includes service with the Guardian ad Litem Program, and various church committees and work groups. Dr. Coen and is wife founded Children of Promise in 2005. Many weekends are spent as a family volunteering in the Children of Promise office teaching his own kids to give back to others.

Pamela Reeves, M.B.A.,--Treasurer |
Mrs. Reeves has worked in accounting for 11 years, three in public accounting and eight in healthcare accounting. Mrs. Reeves received her B.S. in Accounting and her M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University. She has twin daughters attending college in Florida and two young children at home. Mrs. Reeves is currently taking time off to raise her children. In her spare time Mrs. Reeves enjoys reading, traveling and computers. Mrs. Reeves is an active member of her church and believes that it is important for everyone to give back to the community. Mrs. Reeves has served on the Children of Promise Board since 2005. She volunteers in the office and serves as Treasurer.

Michele Mathews, D.D.S. Board Member

Dr. Michele Mathews is a licensed dentist and board certified orthodontist who moved to Colorado Springs in 2004, joining a practice in the Rockrimmon area. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center Dental School in 1991 and completed her orthodontic training at the Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. She previously served twelve years in the United States Air Force as a dentist and orthodontist, and she is currently in the reserves at the United States Air Force Academy. Dr. Mathews enjoys traveling, redecorating her home, and running and hiking with her husband, daughter, and their two German Shepherds.

Doreen Eckert- Board Member
Doreen Eckert has worked over twenty years in Office Administration and has made Colorado Springs her home since 1993. Doreen has volunteered at TESSA in the Dove Kids Program and is currently involved in various groups at her church. She has two children in college, and as a mother of two she understands how important it is for teenagers to feel loved and accepted. In her spare time, Doreen likes to hike in the beautiful mountains of Colorado and do volunteer work to help others. Doreen has been volunteering in the Children of Promise office for over a year.
